Gratuities for guides, drivers, meals, & hotels

The option allows you to pay for tips in advance of your pilgrimage. We are offering an optional collection and distribution service for tips on your behalf. This means you can pay for all your tips ahead of time so you don't have to worry about carrying cash or calculating tips per service during the pilgrimage. The suggested tip amounts per person are below:

$8 per day for local guides
$5 per day for bus drivers
$1 per night for hotel cleaning/housekeeping/hotel meals
$2 per meal not being held in the hotel

If you follow this suggested amount, the tip cost for pilgrims is $85.

If you decide not to use this optional service, we kindly request you you provide tips in cash to the respective services, including hotels, restaurants, guides, and drivers. We want you to have the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
