Tips (non-extension trip)

The option allows you to pay for tips in advance of World Youth Day. We are offering an optional collection and distribution service for tips on your behalf. This means you can pay for all your tips ahead of time so you don't have to worry about carrying cash or calculating tips per service during the pilgrimage. The suggested tip amounts per person are below:

$7 per day for pilgrimage directors
$8 per day for local guides
$5 per day for bus drivers
$1 per night for hotel cleaning/housekeeping/hotel meals
$2 per meal not being held in the hotel

If you follow this suggested amount, the tip cost for pilgrims with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston only attending World Youth Day is $99.

If you decide not to use this optional service, we kindly request you you provide tips in cash to the respective services, including hotels, restaurants, guides, drivers, and Pilgrimage Directors. We want you to have the flexibility to choose what works best for you.

First, begin at the home of St. Teresa, with stops at the Incarnation Convent, where she became a Nun, the museum dedicated to her life, the Cathedral, San Vicente Church, and La Santa Monastery built on the site of her house
After lunch, continue to Toledo, once the home of the famous artist, El Greco, and the subject of some of his most famous paintings, as well as St. John of the Cross, where he was imprisoned

Pricing Details

Final pricing may adjust based on WYD registration fees and/or any significant changes in currency exchange rates.
All registrations submitted after 12/1/2022 will be subject to a late registration fee of $450/person.
The number of available single-occupancy rooms is limited.
Rates assume a minimum of 40 full-paying pilgrims.

To pay by phone, please call our offices at (574) 383-9396, and our Pilgrim Support staff will take your payment. You will need to confirm your name and trip when calling. You will receive a confirmation when your payment is successful. It might take a few days to update on your YouLi Trip Page.
To pay by check, please make checks payable to “Verso Ministries, LLC” and include your booking number in the memo line. Please mail check payments to Verso Ministries, P.O. Box 986, Notre Dame, IN, 46556. You will receive a confirmation when your payment is successful. It might take a few days to update on your YouLi Trip Page.

Terms & Conditions

Please review our terms and conditions by clicking here. All pilgrims participating on a Verso Ministries pilgrimage must read, review, understand, and agree with the terms and conditions.

Payment Schedule

In order to secure your space, Verso Ministries requires a non-refundable deposit of $300 per person. All final balances are due by April 1, 2023. Here is your group’s payment plan:

November 1, 2022 – 15% of package
December 1, 2022 – 15% of package
January 1, 2023 – 15% of package
February 1, 2023 – 15% of package
March 1, 2023 – 15% of package
April 1, 2023 – Final balance

Final package price is estimated. Prices are based on the exchange rate as of August 2022. Any drastic fluctuations in currency exchange rates could affect the final pilgrimage pricing. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted to Verso Ministries in written form and received via email or mail. Any refunds, as applicable, will be processed based on the date stamp of email or mail received. Cancellation fees will be charged per person, per booking. Cancellation fees apply to individual pilgrims who cancel their booking or organizing groups if the original number of pilgrims is reduced and the group size is altered.

Cancellations are possible at any time, but refunds are subject to cancellation fees at the rates listed here.

May 1, 2022 – June 30, 2022: $1,000 per person
July 1, 2022 – September 30, 2022: $1,500 per person
October 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022: $2,500 per person
January 1, 2023 – March 31, 2023: $3,500 per person
April 1, 2023 or after: 100% of trip cost (no refund given)

Any cancellation charges incurred from other suppliers or vendors (flight, lodging, ground transportation, tickets, WYD registration, etc.) may come in addition to the administrative fees listed here. All group flight airline tickets, optional excursions, trip options, pre/post extensions, private transfers, and additional hotel nights are non-refundable 180 days or less prior to departure unless otherwise noted.
